Jason Jenner

 

Jason's first experience in hairdressing was as a Saturday boy at the age of fifteen.

 

He studied hairdressing at City College, Brighton and Sussex Downs College in Lewes. He gained NVQ Levels 1 & 2 in hairdressing and NVQ Levels 1,2 and 3 in barbering.

 

Since then Jason has worked in barber shops on the south coast including 'Vances', 'Diamond Geezers' and 'Andy & Marvins'.

 

Eventually Jason and Penny opened 'Jason's Barber Shop' in 2009.

Jason prides himself mostly in the quality of his haircuts, and even after over 30 years of Barbering, maintains that you never know the job completely.

Penny Jenner

 

Penny started her hairdressing career in 1987 as a Saturday girl in a Burgess Hill salon.

 

She attended City College Brighton gaining NVQ Levels 1 & 2 in hairdressing, NVQ 1,2 and 3 in barbering, NVQ in wig making, and NVQ Level 3 & IHBC in beauty therapy, graduating in 1991.

 

Once qualified, Penny gained experience in various salons, before becoming a hairdresser on board luxury cruise liners.

 

Once back on dry land Penny managed two Beauty Salons before deciding to concentrate on Barbering.

Penny worked alongside Jason in 'Andy & Marvins', in Lewes before taking the plunge with him to open up their own barbers in 2009.
